New York is overrated as hell
I live in New York and honestly, this city is way too romanticized.
It’s overcrowded and insanely expensive.
People everywhere. All the time.
Traffic, lines, noise, crowds — nonstop.
Even if you make decent money, owning a home here is basically a fantasy, and spending a third of your income on rent is considered “normal.”
Sure, there are better job opportunities and plenty of things to do.
But dealing with constant congestion and ridiculous living costs just for that?
Not worth it.
I’m starting to think the “NYC dream” is just a very expensive marketing campaign.
