Cloudflare isn’t losing money because it’s bad. It’s losing money because it’s too cheap
The product is insane. The problem is the free tier is basically a cheat code.
You can run a legit site with decent protection and performance without paying them. For a lot of small projects it’s good enough forever. That’s great for users, but it means Cloudflare eats a ton of traffic and support costs while only a slice upgrades.
So yeah, if they’re bleeding money, it’s not because they’re trash. It’s because they gave away too much value for too long.
