People freak out way too much about data privacy.

Unless someone is personally targeting you (they’re not), worst case is spam calls or some dude trying to scare you with info that’s barely useful. Some people use VPNs, sure — but what are you doing online that’s enough to hide? Or what, are you a criminal that needs to hide everything? I’m not saying give out your data. I’m saying it’s already being collected, avoiding it is a pain, and for most people the actual damage is… pretty mid.

@Newyorker I am. Give me your data. Full name, birth date, mothers maiden name, ssn, credit card no., and phone no.

If you are a famous person, you would know why

Honestly, that’s true. If you’re a businessman, privacy really matters.

I guess for me, it would be to not make the data collection too easy for them, along with confirming the data they collected; resistance certainly is futile, but I'm not gonna stop putting up a fight.
