I use iCloud+, and I recommend subscribing to it.
Not only do you get an additional 50 GB of storage, but you can also use Private Relay, which masks your IP address in Safari.
iCloud+ is the most cost-effective Apple service.

I can get storage for free almost anywhere. IP masking too.
I suggest learning how to set up a NAS and hosting your own cloud. That way you won't end up some corpos little bitch.
