So this is the future they keep talking about.

Doctors, lawyers, factory workers.
Does not matter.
Everyone loses their job.

Everyone lives on basic income.
Just enough to survive. Not to live.

Food.
Real meat becomes a luxury.
Normal people eat lab meat and bugs.

Housing.
With basic income, you will never own a home.
If your parents do not own one, you rent forever.
Born renting. Die renting.

The only good part.
Full dive virtual reality.
A perfect fake world to escape into,
because real life is locked behind rules.

I'm a tech person. What you're describing is the world I'm fighting against.
The "tech people" you're talking about are "business people"; true enemies of mankind like elon musk, zuckerberg, larry ellison, jensen huang, and everybody else screwing up our world for short-term profits.

You can rail against basic income all you want but it's a whole hell of a lot better than what we've got right now, and it's not what's keeping you from working, owning, and eating well; greedy imbeciles and their cronies are.
