May 2011, Amy Pitzen took her six year old son Timmothy out of school and went on a three day trip through several states.
She eventually took her own life in a motel room in Rockford, Illinois. She left a note claiming that Timmothy was safe with people who would love him but that he would never be found.
To this day, there is no physical evidence of what happened to him. Police found no blood in the car or the motel. There have been zero confirmed sightings since his mother died.
