Just checked r/chatgpt and it is full of people whining about 4o like it was some sacred relic. The model is two years old. Of course it is getting replaced. That is how software works. Acting shocked about it just makes everyone look clueless.
What makes it worse is how dramatic everyone is being. People writing paragraphs about how the new model feels wrong and how they cannot work anymore. If your productivity collapses because one AI version changed, maybe the issue is not the AI.
This happens every single time anything gets updated online. People complain, call the new version trash, then quietly keep using it anyway. In a few months the same people will be fine and pretending they never cared.
Right now the subreddit just looks like a bunch of users who got too attached to a chatbot and cannot handle normal product changes.
