Not even joking. Girls never approach me and I have never had a gf. I'm 6’2 with a square jaw low set eyebrows and deep set hunter eyes.
It's like my face scares people away instead of attracting them.

Handsome guys get choosing signals (staring, lingering, proximity) even if they aren't directly approached.

Dude, girls never approach guys no matter what. You don't understand, girls learn as if they've all been raised in the same cult that guys make the first move and girls aren't allowed to, so they just hint inscrutably https://strawpoll.com/e7ZJa7QQWg3 or wait for the guys who approach them.
Even if you don't actually like the idea of The Chase, think of it this way: by starting conversations with women you signal to them that you are confident and secure that you can handle flirting and are going to treat them like a person instead of a mysterious wild animal.
